Brenda-I found your post on the Today Show wall. First you are not baggage or a freak. You are a member of our club. I was widowed at 44 with a 9 year old son and found when I was ready to date 2 years later- men were Jerks about it. I heard it all. Please look at YWBB.org for a support group. There are a lot of people who are under the age of 30 on the board who are widowed. I am happy to say- a lot of them, after 2 or 3 years have been able to move on and find love again- and a few have chosen not to. It is a journey that is different for each of us. But You have a fellow sister here- who launched them for laughing. There is nothing funny about being a widow. NOTHING. I was angry and still am a day later. It doesn’t get easier- we just get better at it.
