Plans? Maybe? Sep 24

We finally have some SORT OF plans!  Yeah!  I got off the phone with all the Dr’s, nurses, etcetera and it looks like we’ll be heading to Johns Hopkins to Dr. Yeng’s office to get the feeding tube either fixed or replaced-AND0-it will be covered!  Yea!

Dr. Thornton then called to check in, and she wants to do a chemo treatment while Kevin is down there since he is currently due for it.  It doesn’t look like the tri-weekly treatments are going to work out as many home health systems are unwilling to work with chemo at home.  It’s also just safer to do it in office.

Our hope is that we won’t have to go to JH until tomorrow to get the feeding tube and chemo treatment, and that today we can still meet with our local oncologist to get things set up for weekly treatments.  That would just work out so perfectly, and then I could also get that important errand ran.

Thank GOD for His blessings and opening up these doors to work things out.  It’s been a very disappointing and frustrating 24 hours, so we’ll be happy when we’re all past this.

….continue to lift Kevin up specifically in your prayers as he is having a lot of nausea.  I pray that we get some answers while we’re down there as to what’s causing this and finally get some meds to work.  Also pray for Kevin as his chemo treatments will be much harsher as they’ll be going in once a week, and much more concentrated.  His side effects from the chemo so far have been minimal, but may increase with this new dosing.

Thanks!

    Dear Kevin & Brenda,
Life’s roller coaster is just like the real thing, down real fast but a slow climb to the top! Know that you are covered with many prayers, hang on tight.
